#experimentation
Usually I have to mull over what I do with suggestions, but this one I visualized so clearly that I HAVE to work on it sometime. I'm imagining the experimentation is fun until the mushroom stem snaps in half, and then lamb has the most awkward hospital trip of all time. "I JUST FELL ON IT, I SWEAR!"

though, and I'll suffer gross looking town screens for the soundtrack/good map design/really interesting experimentation with bog standard turn based combat the class system brings.

Also, a great example of how while I like RPGs, they're terrible for how I stream. Took 2 hours for a deer to end me.

quick warmup sketch for today: my FFXIV character, Veggie Might

I have been thinking a very normal amount about FFXIV lately, and also about Veggie's very unhealthy experimentation with aetherology (and also his habit of visiting Gold Saucer every chance he gets)

Thank you so much! It taught me a lot back then, At some point I'll definitely do a redo that's more story driven but I really had fun with the therapy of experimentation. 🖤

I think your experimentation has been an incredible experience for both your readers and a tangential learning experience for yourself. Even if you had tried to push yourself on Wattpad, I don't think you ever would have achieved the milestones you have created on A03.

My game's dev was chaotic. Experimentation, keeping what I liked, discarding what I didn’t.

I've finally sorted out what to tell, how to tell it. I think making peace with elements of my private life helped to unlock it.

It will not be perfect. But i'm prouder to work on it.

I read ANAGRAMS by Lorrie Moore in a college course called 'Tragedy in Romance'. It opened my eyes to experimentation in literature--how a novel doesn't have follow one exact shape.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

That's a really insightful point about the electorate experimenting with extremism when moderates don't offer sufficient policies! It's so important to call out those "Nazi-making activities" rather than vaguely appealing to the idea of political experimentation lol

Today’s spin is the Beatles’ album Rubber Soul from 1965! A pivotal release in the group’s repertoire, this album had the group beginning to wholly embrace studio experimentation with the use of fuzz bass, sitar and harmonium and features more mature lyrical themes than what had come before #vinyl

Genetic experimentation also happens amongst farmers both with plants (see Hopi) and animals (see Skousen dairy farmers). I am not sure if my family lineages thought they were spiritually cloning their bloodlines or actually genetically reproducing the parents, but the naming patterns after…

Advances in medicine, the cutting edge, comes from the US military. Medical experimentation on incarcerated & racialized ppl happens in Arizona in war forts (Camp Verde) in jails (Yuma), on reservations (San Carlos See Mike Burns), in insane asylums (ASH), and then in Japanese relocation camps.

🚀 How do transformative systems land in new places?

⚙️ Through the lens of sanitation systems, Miorner, Schelbert, & Binz show that spatial diffusion of innovation involves great experimentation and institutional translation.

If you're wondering WHY the U.S. is full of nazis in 2025, look up "Operation: Paperclip".

The U.S. brought over many Nazi scientists after WWII, gave them new identities, and lots of funding for Nazi experimentation.

Cause and effect.

Who wants to volunteer for chemical experimentation until you grow tentacles solely so you can fuck me like this?

Now I can `store` and `load` screens, I can do some experimentation. I've started with @tynemouthsoftware.co.uk Software Serial Card and borrowed the send- and receive-character routines from @tynemouthsoftware.co.uk modifued ROM.

OC concept art from a while ago, Doctor Leonora Pepper. She's a mad scientist Texas obsessed with formulating various carbonated potions that have whacky sci fi properties. She lives in a trailer home/mobile lab and is on the run from the cops 24/7 for human experimentation.

Interesting! I kind of made something similar already during experimentation, except that I added way less coconut milk.

Groceries delivered.

Let the experimentation begin.
Not a fan of tofu. It's a texture thing. Also too bland.

But I just saw this woman make popcorn tofu. Well, crispy tofu but it looks like popcorn chicken.

Now I want to try it. I'll eat anything crispy and love it. Crispy spicy? Even better.

(Hers wasn't spicy, but mine will be.)

idk in the first season, the threat is pretty explicitly the US govt & mkultra & then it takes a severe right turn to justify the us experimentation by inserting “evil russian communists” in season 3 & redeem brenner in season 4 for no real reason :/
