Last week, I was laid off as part of the larger shutdown of USAID. This week, all these bluebirds started showing up in my backyard. I had never seen one before. #everydaysomethingbeautiful

Because of where I live (near a US Air Force Base), I step outside to look up and see Globemasters fly by, as if they are just floating in the air. Although it is a cool marvel of engineering, I'd swap for sandhill cranes migrating any day. #everydaysomethingbeautiful
