Next time I get some money I really need to replace the ethernet cable Nash ate as well as some cable clips to keep him from doing it again so I can start steaming again

This is 5 gig fiber. My onboard Wifi/ethernet card caps out at 2.5gbps, so this is actually being bottlenecked. Never thought I'd ever run into this limit lmao

For anyone wondering: if you need to send a bunch of analog signals around a setup, you can totally misuse ethernet for an easy plug-and-play connection.
I've somehow managed to already use all 8 wires for this one, so please, nobody give me any more experiment ideas.

This was exactly it for my desktop--a driver needed to be manually updated. The problem is that once I had my ethernet connection going I kind of lost interest in solving it and now I'm just an ethernet cable user instead 🤷♀️

I quote from the official Cisco Field Notice for fixing this problem on 48-Port Models of Cisco Catalyst 3650 and 3850 Series Switches.
Workaround/Solution:
Trim the boot on the cable that is installed in Port 1.
