We've had an Essence20 actual play in some stage of planning as long as Essence20's been a thing. Unfortunately, it's a big time and logistic commitment, and that's kept us from executing the idea.

STA came out in 2017, but it's 2nd edition came out recently. I had to look up wtf Essence20 is, and the post introducing it was in 2021, but again, new games/editions are coming out in that system. So you're correct depending on how far back you want to set the cutoff date.

I briefly interrupted my ongoing story in my Transformers campaign on Essence20. I sent them to a mission that had balls of slime moving around. They gave debuffs if they crawled on you but died instantly from melee strikes. One crawled across a power box and spawned a kremzeek!

Essence20 is a pretty standard D20 system, with 20 levels and skill assignments. The skills fall into four "Essence" categories: Strength, Speed, Smarts, and Social. Each Essence Score determines an applicable defense, like Toughness for the Strength Essence.

Man. I get Renegade studios not wanting a place for their stuff for Essence20 being easily accessible (because why buy the books if the info's there) but man. having the information would be so much easier to make homebrew for the system instead of clicking through PDFs.
