Taught my kid how to use the embossing label maker and now she has been sitting on the couch next to me for an hour completely in the zone not responding to any interaction outside of asking how to spell and just labeling everything in the house including the dog

Have you seen the Peter Pauper Press Masterpiece Library Editions? They're so incredible beautiful (and affordable ♡). I know this reads like an ad, hehe, but I genuinely adore editions that look like antique books and have embossing and gold foil. 😭

One of the things about real power is that it doesn’t have to be labeled. The nuclear football briefcase doesn’t need a fancy embossing to stand for power. The Oval Office was power because everyone knew it when stepping in. Putting a label on it depowers it.

Like I said, the only thing that gives me pause with the map is that they took the time to add that embossing effect to it, but yeah, it's one unified timeline, "it's all canon". I wouldn't at all be surprised if Raccoon in RE9 used stuff from both the remakes and the originals and outbreak.

The packaging is very nice. I like the 4K slipcases with the rounded edges...I wish that had stuck as a way of differentiating them from blu-rays. It's a nice look.
The spot gloss and embossing on the slipcase is ALSO really nice. I don't know if it comes with the art cards...guess I'll open it.

And they still had some in the local Lidl. £4.99 for the embosser with a 3m roll of 9mm tape is pretty good value, and no batteries required. I remember using these things as a kid and the labels usually lasted for years. We'll see how modern ones fare. My only complaint so far is letter alignment.
