As is I’ve modded their esteem to be Elidibus just as like a symbolic thing to represent part of their motivations but they uh struggle with accepting themself and self love as a concept (they have no fucking self-esteem whatsoever actually it’s all external validation)

then we later see in 5.3 how elidibus' plight caused him to lose his memory of what he was actually working towards, even though he's still being driven forward by Something to continue the ascians' plan. and i see no reason to assume something similar couldn't have happened to hydae #5.0spoilers

shb, post qitana ravel. emet mentions hydae's origin. it's brought up again when we visit anamnesis anyder but the scions focus entirely on elidibus being part of zodiark and almost completely gloss over venat being the heart of hydaelyn.

I'm a hoe for the Ishgardian husbandos and the Elpis Husbandos. Right now my focus is on Haurchefant from the Ishgard group and Elidibus from the Elpis group.
