When you have extra power you can build capex-intensive electrolyser plants and run them a few hundred hours a year on it to produce extremely expensive hydrogen in the wrong place. Or you can dump that extra power on users, and they will all buy heat pumps and EVs and love renewables. Your call.

XiNTC Nederlands uniek bedrijf dat modulair overal met zon en wind en gewoon water en hun electrolyser waterstof kan maken. Hun electrolyser gebruikt geen zeldzame aardmetalen, geen membranen en klassieke stacks. Kunnen nu al waterstof maken voor 4-5 euro/kg op basis van Nederlandse zon.

They really should be adding disptchable electrolyser capacity at their plants, but they need the electolyser cost to be low enough to make sense to run at somewhat reduced CF%, and they need EU rules to change to allow nuclear H2 to count, not just 'green'.
