MAGA is a weird sack of broken eggs insofar as it is destroying guardrails in the name of conservation of values. I truly hope some of those guardrails can be reconstructed in a manner that doesn’t exclusively benefit oligarchs.

People respond to cute animals in trouble, right? Here is one of the clam shrimp from the November generation, which are now all dead except this cup because of ongoing drought in Florida. It's possible they are genetically distinct from the other seasonal groups, so I saved them to collect eggs.

I drive out to a farm for eggs and even though I know they're OK, I check them. Sometimes one is cracked even when handled by a person rather than a machine. Walnut, indeed.
