🌾 A study from our members at @agrosphere-ibg-3.bsky.social found that thermal neutrons from Cosmic-ray neutron sensors correlates well with several parameter on plants and it is crop specific. The sensors is found to have potential in supporting eddy covariance stations.

Wrapped up a great fieldwork day with our MSc Physical Geography students! Today they dismantled the eddy covariance tower they installed at the start of the course, marking the end of six weeks of successful flux measurements. Great teamwork and solid science in action!

Happy to announce we’ve set up a new eddy covariance flux tower at a forest restoration site in the Harz Mountains. The area was clear-cut after a bark beetle outbreak and reforested with broadleaves. A unique opportunity to investigate ecosystem fluxes and forest resilience across recovery stages.

Great fieldwork days with our new batch of Master students, here at at our agricultural site. During these days, they have set up their own eddy covariance tower and practiced flux measurements using chambers, among other things.

Field working day at the Finnish Open Lab of the rewet-he.eu project. We have been running Eddy Covariance measurements in this remote site since summer 2023, along with the biodiversity studies. The peatland is protected by Natural Heritage Foundation.
