I attended Orthodox services for about two years mainly because Dostoeyvsky actually took the time to wrestle with the pull humans have between belief and non belief in a way that Catholic school never addressed. I felt like I needed to explore it more. I'm Catholic, but love Orthodox liturgy

The reason we read things like Dostoeyvsky is to wrestle with these terrible and frightening questions
If you believe that God is omniscient and created the universe, then you believe that God created every detail of the universe, including childhood leukemia. Christians promote and demote God according to their rhetorical needs; one day, he's "he who is" and the next he's barely a Greek hero.
