Bogus defamation lawfare. An attack on one of our country's key instruments of democracy. Also a grift.

A clumsy edit, his speech is misrepresentated, but he is not mischaracterised.
SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

God it would be funny if she got held personally liable in defamation lawsuits arising from this

I swear. Half of this administration should be constantly be fighting defamation and slander lawsuits these days. Most of them should be fighting them from jail.

Name names. If it’s not a lie, it’s not defamation or libel/slander. They should stand by what they say.

His claims about defamation and fake news have always focused on media outlets not highlighting that he said "peacefully and patriotically" - that's not defamation, it's just standard editorialising.

Neither of your last 2 statements above are true of English common law defamation, where there is a presumption of harm from a defamatory statement and the intent of the publisher is irrelevant save when malice has to be proved to defeat a defence of qualified privilege (not applicable in this case)

Falsely accusing someone of a crime is defamation per se so no actual damage needs to be proven. Why doesn’t Obama sue fools like this?
November 11, 2025 at 4:44 PM
From what I understand the SC only takes cases that pertain to federal or constitutional law. They're not gonna take a defamation case 🤡

Sorry to eminent defamation lawyer Mark Stephens who has done exactly this.
Have taken this down. I was thinking only of the UK where he'd lose. No one in full possession of their senses makes predictions about what a US court might do.

What the F?
Can President Obama sue for defamation?
I suggest he sue pedo47 for $100 billion dollars.
Note to SCOTUS:
Making false allegations on a private social network are NOT part of his 'official duties'.
