I could also say maybe movie deconstructionalism.. 🤔 im actually having a hard time deciding which is "more boring" 🤔 I also like history and documentaries.

Understood. My humanities prof & mentor Keavy Martin was raised in a diplomat family, and she taught a very specialized form of critical thinking because of it: Deconstructionalism. She taught us how to problematize; to be mindful of it; and that universals such as "all, any, every" were red flags!

I liked it, but I'm exactly the sort of person who leaps at pointed fantasy deconstructionalism. Totally understand it leaving people cold.

I think my favourite Mieville is EMBASSYTOWN, but I don't think it's distinct enough in style or content to his other stuff to appeal more broadly.
