I could also say maybe movie deconstructionalism.. 🤔 im actually having a hard time deciding which is "more boring" 🤔 I also like history and documentaries.

Understood. My humanities prof & mentor Keavy Martin was raised in a diplomat family, and she taught a very specialized form of critical thinking because of it: Deconstructionalism. She taught us how to problematize; to be mindful of it; and that universals such as "all, any, every" were red flags!

a deconstructionist digital drawing of a persona, a self portrait of sorts. eyes and body malformed, indiscernible to make out. the black lines form an outline, but the lines are scattered. theres colors, but minimal. parts are missing even if you place them together. two pale blue lines fall from the top of the drawing, representing tears. beside it, is a red swirl, maybe meant to represent the heart or soul. the eyes are too misconfigured; a diamond shaped eye with a yellow color outlining the bottom lid, a line of the pupil seems to extend further than the perimeters of the eye. the other eye is a rectangle, the blue outline for the bottom of the eye floats away.

I liked it, but I'm exactly the sort of person who leaps at pointed fantasy deconstructionalism. Totally understand it leaving people cold.

I think my favourite Mieville is EMBASSYTOWN, but I don't think it's distinct enough in style or content to his other stuff to appeal more broadly.
