“.. the [AI] disruption to labor is a real risk, with the net effect on employment highly uncertain, such that AI-related job losses can create economic slack. The Challenger and weekly ADP data are starting to show signs of slack potentially building ..” 👀

For years I've reported on the tech and tools that bounty hunters have access to. I think people would be shocked it is often essentially what cops can have too, w/ less accountability

You can find our COVID-related updates at pmc19.com/data

In 1-3 weeks, we expect to see a significant departure from the lull.

We also post updates routinely on IG, Twitter, TikTok, and occasionally LinkedIn. 🙏

You’re leaving Beignet off that list. Plus a couple Oracle-related data center syndicated loan deals that summed to ~$40bn IIRC. Then of course there’s all the middle market construction lending on individual data center projects. ORCL has 10% of LT debt in cash. Meta’s debt is $6bn > cash. Etc.

Absolutely recommend giving this a listen. Porn bans have historically always related to controlling people and suppressing minorities, and today, it's also about collecting and selling your private data.
OMG! Adam Conover platforming adult performers! I know the guy has a huuuge liberal audience - many of whom are unfortunately anti-porn - hopefully atleast few people will get it, finally.

Whoa! I can believe it, Mike. I have a feeling that because he was allowed to continue teaching at Western; the school played a role in covering it up. I'd like to know why the school allowed a trained psychologist to go around asking questions related to biology and collecting penis size data.🤔

NFIB data is suspect in general but its labor market series does a good job tracking national conditions and this morning's release showed little change, further reinforcing the idea that labor demand and supply have dropped but are not collapsing as in a recession.

This is related to a private conversation I had recently.

IMO, if you want to use Bayesian statistics in your professional work, either (a) work through at least one Bayesian textbook yourself or (b) collaborate with someone who has already done that work themselves.

Take your data seriously.

How bonkers are the bonkers A.I. numbers?

*One year of data center spend by 4 companies could fund SNAP for 4 years.

*One pledged investment in OpenAI is nearly equal to NYC's operating budget.

*8 AI-related firms are worth more than the next 96 most valuable companies combined. wapo.st/3WJmQyU
Analysis | The AI spending frenzy is so huge that it makes no sense
Big companies could fund four years’ worth of SNAP benefits from what they’re spending on AI. It may not be a bubble but the numbers in AI are bonkers.
