For example, in this #dSTORM image, the neuronal #proteins Homer and Bassoon are labeled in cyan and magenta, revealing a beautiful structure of #neurons, including individual #synapses, the nanoscale space between cells, used to exchange molecules and ions. 🧠

#Clustering is one of the key features of #SMLM, allowing scientists to extract quantitative data from a #SuperResolution image. In the first step of SMLM assays such as #dSTORM, the microscope's camera records the blinking of fluorophores in the sample, providing a point cloud of localizations.

Nah, I would really not say largely. I think if you normalize to some reasonable mid-point, there would have been no bans in 2021, definitely bans in 2010 (Bloodbraid) and 2016 (Company), probably FoF in 2002, and maybe some in 2007 (Dstorm), 2008 (Bitterblososm) and 2014 (Rev/Devotion).

Hello, #SMLM Twitter community!
Can I use Janelia Fluor 585 for #SMLM? Will it blink?
The supplier website (Tocris) says it can be used for dSTORM, but I cannot find any papers about it...

Thanks for any replies and help :)

Thanks to the fluorescent labelling, #SuperResolution methods like #dSTORM enable the identification and quantification of specific proteins. The team took this approach and used the #Nanoimager to determine the abundance of proteins in different parts of the virus, as seen in the image here.
