Finally finished my ARC of Cursebound by Saara El-Arifi. Ooof it was real bad. Like making me contemplate going back and changing my rating for the first book in the trilogy for something lower. The character were all so stupid, like legitimately I questioned how they functioned day to day levels.

Saara El-Arifi did this with #Cursebound by way of a journal entry by the series’ record keeper character and it was so creative and flawless. I need this for every book series now!
Begging book series to include a "previously on" recap at the beginning of the book. I've already forgotten everything that happened in previous books. I don't know who any of these people are or why they're all yelling at each other.

And the lore cursebound 4 effect is so unnecessarily punishing compared to others. It either needs to be toned down, or have a stipulation about still being able to cast spells with no penalty and flat check.

My #Waterstones special edition of #Cursebound arrived in Korea and was RETURNED TO SENDER because they “couldn’t read the address” or “the address was wrong”.
I promise you it wasn’t. It’s a whole thing here in Korea that foreigners packages are neglected. They never even called me to confirm. 😡😭
