I did! The research on that is so neat!! Thank you. Bring a therapist (and one who responds in person to crises) for 20 years def gives me a different experience, but I know my body will react in the same way as hers eventually. Can’t outrun it. Grateful we’re both ok.

I rent alone for the first time in my life (yay, mid-life crises!) & have both, but if I HAD to choose, it's washer/dryer by a mile. I can hand-wash the minimal dishes I create, but laundry is unavoidable--plus I have an elder dog w/washable pee pads, and laudromat/sending out isn't feasible.

The "Controlled Demolition" of the U.S. is the campaign's story. It's the rising tide of doom. It's not one big event, but a series of smaller crises (scenarios) that slowly wear you down. A government shutdown here, a bank failure there.

There is no equitable exchange ~ the US system is now entirely corrupt (if you haven’t noticed) and moral citizens now have to decide what to do.
Epstein files are worse than ever predicted (rumors allege) and the gov. will block what it can.

Climate Change and Conflict: A Dual Threat to Global Health
Experts warn that climate change and conflicts act synergistically, leading to worsened and more complex health crises, including millions of child deaths and reproductive-age women’s mortality in conflict zones. Heat-related deaths increasingly affect women, with recent European summers causing over 60,000 fatalities. Fragile populations face disrupted food supplies, healthcare, and increased disease risks. Conflict Disrupts Climate Action War diverts investments away from essential mitigation and adaptation strategies, while military activities themselves significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

The Senate’s funding bill may reopen the government — but at what cost to families?
I’ve said all along: any deal has to lower costs & protect Americans’ health care. This one doesn’t.
I’m fighting for a better deal that confronts our affordability & health care crises head-on.

I'm going to be that guy, but for me it's The Iliad. It's such a profound connection to our past. Its themes, crises, and characters from 4000 years ago are still very familiar today. It's beautifully told and gripping to read. Nothing tops it.

"Never thought I'd call all those crises calm, but in comparison..."
Shaking his head, he softly sighed.
"I hope we have a chance to relax soon. It's been so long since I've gotten to stand on the deck of a ship over the ocean."

Honestly Tron would be pretty happy just hugging the lad all morning but considering the shenanigans that happened yesterday, she has work to do.
Hesitantly she finally let go of him and rubbed her eyes with one hand.
“And I thought the stuff back then was chaotic…
How wrong I was.”

"That feels like forever ago, after everything else we've been through since then. Hard to believe most of it, too."
After a moment of reflection, he gave her an extra little squeeze.
"You're welcome, Tron. I'm glad I did."

It's also an outdated stereotype that was a small minority of early furries who were ahead of the curve in tech, but since the dot com era bubble burst it's been diminishing returns and increasingly more poor furries as we have financial crises every decade.
This fandom has a reputation for being "suspiciously wealthy" but the truth is most furries just love and value art and people so much that they want to use their money for art and supporting artists so they can make a living doing what they love. It's a cycle of genuine passion I think.

Absolutely! During one of the past budget crises, when the idea of the trillion-dollar coin was floated, I thought Biden should have it minted, and then, to defuse any Republican criticism, call it the Donald Trump Commemorative Trillion-Dollar Coin.

My social anxiety and perpetual morality crises are genuinely debilitating. I’m so fucking tired of my own haywire brain. It does everything while my body does nothing. Life is hell.
And that’s why I love hypnosis. It deliberately calms and numbs your brain. I need that so badly, all the time.

she dealt with a number of crises that any other ruler would have crumbled under. she got a bit lucky with Major Gordon helping out during the Taiping Rebellion, but reforms or no reforms, between the defeat of the Boxers and the Opium Wars, China had long been encircled. The Qing was doomed.

We should do more as a community to help those in crises, regardless of the current political situation.
There are plenty of us who face serious issues when it comes to finances, employment, housing, family life, mental health, executive function, and more.
We should always be invested in helping.
