Gattis & Green Killings
In this episode, we uncover two of the most brutal family murder cases in American history. The first case takes us to Thanksgiving 2017 in Virginia, where Christopher Gattis shot and killed his wife Janet, his daughter Candace, and her boyfriend Andrew. Unique evidence emerged from digital traces: Google searches about self-defense before the killings, phone GPS placing all victims in the same room at the time of the shooting, and selectively deleted security footage. The second case exposes repeat offender Gregory Green—who, after murdering his pregnant wife in 1991 and being released after 16 years in prison, carried out another massacre in 2016 against his new wife Faith Green and their four children in a brutal execution involving shootings, carbon-monoxide poisoning, and torture. In this episode, you will learn how digital evidence can dismantle claims of “self-defense,” how gunpowder residue, 911 recordings, and behavioral patterns reveal murders carefully planned in cold blood. You will also learn about the enormous risks of releasing repeat violent offenders without strict supervision, the importance of recognizing warning signs of domestic abuse, and why checking a partner’s past can ultimately save lives.

Sharon Pryor Cold Case
The disappearance of 16-year-old Sharon Pryor—who vanished in 1975 while walking to a pizzeria in Montreal—became one of Canada’s darkest and most haunting cold cases. In this episode, we revisit the disturbing details surrounding the discovery of Sharon’s body in a frozen field, marked by signs of brutal assault, removed clothing, tape left tangled in her hair, and evidence suggesting she may have been held captive for several days. Unique clues also emerge, including a potential connection to the attack on Cheryl Wah along the same route, as well as possible links to the murders of Norma O’Brien and Debbie Fisher—raising chilling speculation about a serial predator operating in the region. In this episode, you will learn how technologies like DNA phenotyping are capable of reopening decades-old cold cases, how investigators eventually identified Franklin Romine as a prime suspect and even exhumed his remains in 2023, and why the DNA confirmation process is still ongoing. You’ll also gain insight into offender patterns that target vulnerable victims, the hidden risks faced by teenagers even in seemingly safe neighborhoods, and the importance of renewed investigations in helping families finally move closer to justice.

The Murder of Heidi Furcus
The murder case of Heidi Furcus in April 2010 shook Saint Paul, Minnesota, when she was found shot to death in her home along the Mississippi River. Her husband, Nicholas Furcus, claimed the couple was attacked by a hooded intruder in a home invasion, supported by Heidi’s dramatic 911 call that suddenly disconnected. However, there were no signs of struggle, theft, or forced entry, while Nick sustained only a minor gunshot wound to his leg. As the investigation progressed, Nick’s lies unraveled: the couple was drowning in massive debt, their home was in foreclosure, and all of this had been deliberately concealed from family and friends. In this episode, you'll learn how the FBI-assisted reconstruction of the 911 call revealed inconsistencies in the timeline, how forensic evidence such as ballistics and DNA—found only from Heidi and Nick—led to murder charges filed 11 years after the incident, and how financial secrets can escalate into a deadly tragedy. This episode also highlights the psychological impact on the victim’s family and the dangers of manipulated narratives in domestic violence cases.

DNA Reveals Donna Chao
This case brings us to the mystery of the murder of Donna Dima Chao, a 19-year-old girl who disappeared in 1984 and was found dead 11 years later in the woods of Cranberry Farm, New Jersey. Nearly four decades without answers, the case was finally solved thanks to modern DNA technology that linked bodily fluids in Donna's bedroom to Nathaniel Harvey—a repeat offender also involved in the axe murder of Irene Schnapps and brutal attacks on other victims. Harvey's initial confession was overturned due to a Miranda rights violation, and physical evidence such as size 6 shoe prints matching the blood at the crime scene was also overlooked, showing how procedural errors can allow killers to remain free. In this episode, you will learn how forensic technology can uncover old crimes, how lost evidence can finally reveal the truth, and the dangers of repeat offenders who can evade justice for years. We also highlight the long-lasting trauma experienced by Donna's family—from their move to Texas, the loss of their stepfather, to their struggle for justice—reminding us that crime not only takes lives but leaves wounds that span generations.
