3) the amount of money that goes to the schools is WILD. i need to start caring about the fate of CPS because...with that high of a percentage of the tax bill, why are (yes, i know, not all) the schools struggling?! invest in our neighborhood schools, dammit!

I agreed. People with babies walk into police stations all the time and are told to go back to the sidewalk. And if CPS is called, there is no such thing as emergency services, they take the kids and drop them off under a bridge.
