tbh it's not even that directed, it's just a direct correlation between labor and locality. All medical labor is local, same with colleges, etc etc. The further you go down the list, the less local the labor is.

If you made it this far into the thread, I'm sure you have questions. I have one, and it's for the white supremacists reading this:
Do you believe in Rushton's conclusion- that there is a correlation between penis size and intelligence?
I await your response. 🔥☕️

The Supreme Court heard the case about tariffs on November 5, 2025. Trump announced the $2,000 dividend for Americans on November 9, 2025.
There might be a correlation with these two dates since SCOTUS was not positive about presidential abuse of tariffs

Out looking at correlation of Lower Cret strata and looking at the J-K boundary with Ed Simpson. This is always an educational experience.

That said, per math I did back in 2023, while there is a correlation between the redness of your state and your likelihood of being a victim of violent gun crime, the rate of gun ownership is the causal factor. (I'll leave the chicken/egg red state / gun ownership debate to others.)

I feel like we've got an interesting problem in the modern media ecosystem where the video essay format has turned into this shorthand for authoritativeness, except the skills required to make a convincing-looking video essay turn out to have almost zero correlation with expertise.

Not every game, or type of game, relies on narrative to be successful. If you work on a game in a genre where narrative is very core to the player's experience, the quality of narrative will have a direct correlation to that game's success. If you don't, it probably won't.

Now that we have Hidden Markov Models do we still need correlation matrices?? 😀
For example, this looks cool.
(I'm aware that HMMs are not new, I played with them in grad school...)

Correlation is not causation! A city with a dense urban form will have higher mode share because driving is harder and less necessary, and will be likely to have built a metro as a result. 2/
In that sense, transit use causes metros as much as metros cause transit use. 2/
