The vibe shit at Microsoft is so fucking unreal. I don't fucking touch the copilot shit in 365 and it's still trying to screw me.

Colleague sends an excel file.
Outlook creates a preview of said file.
Copying from the table doesn't copy the displayed chars.

God forbid it's an ID or something

Foliage and Fire

I can’t go wrong with a Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis). They’re stunning birds—like living flames flickering among the leaves.

I also I am not bursting company’s copilot budget with me giving in to dirty passions here

OMG I updated my Microsoft apps and there's an annoying brightly colored icon (on my black and white document, so I can't visually ignore it) for Copilot that can't be dismissed or disabled. Really awful.

I was playing through Talos Principal last week, and whenever I looked something up, I always marveled at how dogshit the AI summaries were.

"Use the light beams" oh really, fucking thanks CoPilot that's a big help right there

I blame @klemens.bsky.social on my trip to grocery store taking 4times usual time because i am trying to steer copilot agent via mobile app now while teying to purchase foodstuffs

Everything wrong in the USA was condensed in this pop-up message from Microsoft Copilot in a Word document this morning.
"Create a vacation blog about hiking in Yellowstone National Park"?
I can't go to National Parks, because Republicans shut down the govt - with the help of big digital tech!

factually speaking, without inflated values of Copilot being forced with Windows 11, Office, and Teams, no one uses it.

In fact, IT actually got us to STOP using Office and Teams because AI was scraping our information and could be used for an NDA breech.

So, No. Not even remotely.

White Arc

I spotted this white pelican (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) a few years back, gliding low over the Calcasieu Ship Channel ...

The SAIT admin is both feet in with Microsoft CoPilot. (It runs on Microsoft ecosystem after all - 365, exchange server, etc.)

I remain skeptical about it.

its worth to read the source code of vscode copilot. they for example use classes and tsx to define prompts

Nexons comments were shitty and not needed on an already volatile fire of things.

However, it's realistic to presume that AI has been used in some capacity by most companies, it's built into Windows/Mac and most/all of their applications. Even meeting minutes and such are done by copilot ;-;

I wrote this fucking document! I don't need it summarized, or for you to prep me to discuss it! Fuck off!

Hey, Word for Mac users: This abomination just started hovering over my documents as of this morning. How do I kill it? (Preferably with fire).

I just had to drop out of what was advertised as a training call on writing better emails and reports. The trainer was just telling people to use fucking Copilot to do everything for them. That's the opposite of training. It was a de-skilling call designed to make us less able to do our jobs. Nasty.

AI image by me, using MS Copilot; it took 8 tries to get it right. I had to call them "chimpanzees with wings on their backs" to get around the potential problem with intellectural property from that 1939 movie everyone likes.

Too lazy to set up CI for one of my plugins, Copilot did it for me 🙃

(I feel more like a manager these days than a developer, just assigning tasks to Copilot.)

every couple of weeks I'll try a new copilot workflow and it's invariably worse than before

This time it didn't know what zizmor was so it hallucinated an entire internal project named that.

💡 #Salesforce Developers Tip: hide Copilot UI in VS Code
If, like me, you're using #AgentforceVibes and you find the Copilot UI distracting, you can easily hide it! Go in VS Code settings and search for chat.disableAIFeatures then check the checkbox.
