I believe it is widely accepted that **any** info within NATO is visible to uncle Sam. Everyone runs their IT systems on Windows, there is a lot of Cloud computing and so on. Or am I wrong? So I wonder how one even isolates the concerns.

Anyone who can say “cloud” computing without giggling must be a sociopath!

The cloud is just shorthand for data centers, cables, fiber lines, satellite uplinks/downlinks, and a fucking shitload of computers, cell phones, tablets, smartTVs, WiFi toasters, etc.

Palantir’s business model is based on vendor lock. in DoD, we were paying them to create proprietary databases which once established, resulted in monthly license fees plus ever growing cloud computing and storage costs. I could not get my bosses to admit they were screwing us.
