Em dúvida entre o Beija-flor-de-peito-azul (Chionomesa lactea) e o Beija-flor-dourado (Hylocharis chrysura). Me conta de que forma é a iridescência na plumagem? Há tons azulados e violeta ou é mais puxado para o verde brilhante e âmbar?

This can be confirmed in electrostatic charge models of the different pronotum shapes & in a lab setting, these little guys flee from even weak electrical fields.
So, it seems likely that among the 23,000 species of leaf hoppers, there's some blend of functions for these weird shapes...

A nice selection of cleptoparasites and parasitoids of Osmia bees and relatives in my small garden this morning: Monosapyga clavicornis, Sapyga quinquepunctata, Stelis phaeoptera and Chrysura radians. Monosapyga was my first garden record.
