She could not live without the love of her life. Antoni and Henryka were buried together in the cemetery in Chotomów. Henryka had a special dress sewn by a neighbour, a long white dress like for a wedding. These two were referred to as Romeo and Juliet.

Antoni's platoon was tasked with disassembling rails on the border of Legionowo and Chotomów to block the German trains. This resulted in a derailed train which blocked an important strategic route. To resolve this the Germans sent troops and an armoured train.
