A lot of the early story of my long comic is the cast not doing well trying to uncover secrets about their existence.

digital comic pages, read left to right english, manga style art of my characters from my very old webcomic that's on hiatus and being revamped. Pages here from 2019, redraws then of chapter 5, pages 22 and onward of a fight between two chimeras, my half animal half human science experiments from my longform story world. Pages here are when young 20s wolf gal Kendo is quitting her shit modeling job and is fighting her antelope manager, humanoid bodies with animal attributes , not monsters here. angry convo between the characters goes as follows- Kendo-- Why won't you let me just leave if I disappoint you so much? Manager-- you're still worth a lot dear. Kendo is backed up to a wall dogging punches as then her manager is pinned to the wall by two helpful chimeras. Kendo shuffles away and says-- I'm still a person, yet you keep treating me like an animal! Next page Manager is quiet, smiles then easily shakes off the chimeras holding her, kicking one with her hoof leg and slamming the other into the wall.

work in progress collage of a few comic pages, the pages act as more of illustrations the text will dance between. Pages go from rainbow colored shot of Earth from spaces trapped on a massive plant vine, then red bathed page of plants growing from soil as DNA coils around. a page of light blue to green to pink wacky page of a city scape and trees as many tiny hands reach out to one large hand. A human ribcage and heart sits in the middle spce of the hands. final page is a soft purple to greyscale theater stage where a woman wearing plants puppets litle human figures as many other dolls scatter the stage broken. Not webtoon pages, but they are shorter vertical standard pages you'd find in books. No actual panel gutters here though, each page is their own weird mess of things.

He's like this in the story for a while from beginning to mid point, he changes a lot, for the better, through the story. Multiple poses showing off his shark form and mid-morph half human shark look ripping through his clothes. Rest of the poses are him looking stressed, smoking, drinking coffee and one pose of him trying to look cool holding his gun and shapeshifting his left hand to be a large monster claw while the rest of his body is human. Japanes character, long pointy nose, constantly looks annoyed, and his hair is an uneven mess of a mullet, often covering his right eye.

Characters were fighting monsters in a rainstorm, then back home needing to curate the garden after the strong storm knocked over stuff. One character is very unhappy about gardening as the other jock type dude has fun doing the hard work.

Story follows several main characters and how their lives are deeply intertwined. Greyscale with pops of color, manga/noir inspired with deeper writing about existentialism and found family when you're an outcast abandoned by people.

2013 ref sheet of Karasu, basic front and back, weapon examples and a few expressions, lots of random character facts. 2014 pose sheet of Karasu. No info or expression close ups, focusing on showing her wings positioning with her poses. Lots of these were referenced and changed up from studying action poses. 2016 basic ref sheet of Karasu, back to front and back poses, outfits, chibi art, weapon [crow bar] and close up expressions. More like an animation production ref. 2023, back to a sheet of just various poses for Karasu, inked, greyscale. Her wide range of expressions shown with each pose instead of close up. A few outfit changes too. This is almost a redraw of the 2014 pose sheet but this time I'm not really referencing photos, I've got a better hang of posing characters on my own! There's minimal info about her.

large doodle sheet of my characters Kisame and Kendo showing their earliest relationship dynamics. They both evolve as the story goes. First set of doodles- Kisame being a depressed, "edgy" mess hating he's a shark monster, often chain smoking and looking for an excuse to show off his registration powers. He IS a masochist, esp when depressed. Kendo, the soft and flirty wolf gal, at first very shy and in revealing outfits as she is just getting away from an abusive sex work job. second set of doodles- The duo shown in their actual emotions. Kisame being knee deep in depression not eating but just drinking coffee and smoking cigs. He often is hallucinating an eye that talks shit to him. Kendo being a strong, sporty gal. She wields a massive metal mallet and is way stronger than she appears. He self confidence is a lil better and she's wearing more comfy boring clothes. Extra notes: They come from different backgrounds, Kisame , 26, is Japanese, Kendo , 23, is Russian. Both trying to forget their past hellish lives when they start working together. They have a bit of trauma bonding.
