I'm not sure. I think more of a community presence openly being Greens? We're hoping to organise a ceilidh in February here in Exeter. Now we have more members we can have more socials.

Morning CJ, orcs. Grey, wet. Lovely weekend of contrasts: hilarity & fun at ceilidh, sombre wreath-laying. Catch up calls with good friend & younger daughter, cleaned 6 prs of boots. Can’t get over the irony of BBC resignations circs, & Trump crowing. Busy day ahead at home. Enjoy Monday all 😙

I think they must have had ceilidh catering nightmares at an early age.

Love this film too, found by accident one Christmas … when Catriona Potts comes in like a whirlwind with the dogs … singing at the ceilidh … the giant cupboard of crockery ❤️❤️❤️

Morning Caroline, orcs. Remembrance Sunday. Will be laying wreath at the town Memorial. Fittingly, but inconveniently, rain is due, so will have to wear a hat.

Ceilidh was brilliant fun, danced a lot & chatted to many on our table. Some great outfits! Happy with ours too. The Appalachian demo /1

Sometimes you go to your friend's wedding and there's a ceilidh and you dance so hard you injure yourself.
November 8, 2025 at 11:59 PM
So do I! Some trepidation, I have to say. But I love a ceilidh and we don’t have enough of them. I remember what brilliant fun barn dances always were. I don’t have the right shoes but white sneakers will have to do.

Posing in a kilt in front of an old bus

Had a fun time at the wedding and got to dance in the cèilidh, which is so much fun and everyone should try it if they get the chance.

And as an aside, how did Mac deal with the fact that the 42 year old single malt MacAskill (for that is what this was) wasn't available at the ceilidh?

I can see the mix of fancy dress, a ceilidh and Appalachian dance is quite a combination to accommodate. Good luck, I hope turns out to be a lot if fun 🤞

Morning Cats, orcs & Happy #Caturday! More relaxed day, went for long walk before rain set in & enjoyed podcasts. Successful errands in town.

Overdue chores today like boot-cleaning. Ceilidh party tonight, 60s dress code has thrown me, weird combo. Won’t know hardly anyone, some trepidation! 😬
