PPI hosted closed‑door roundtables with corporate donors to craft “market‑based” alternatives to progressive proposals (e.g., carbon‑tax rebate instead of cap‑and‑trade). They heavily attack Carbon‑pricing proposals and universal childcare funding.

A new study finds that switching from a typical diet to a plant-based one can cut your food-related carbon footprint by nearly half—while also using 33% less land and 7% less water. I know this is really hard, but even replacing one or two meals a week helps!

Great work: "Industry’s favoured voluntary solutions- carbon offsets, biofuels, and “efficiency-based” measures to tackle climate change - cannot deliver the deep, sustained cuts needed to preserve a habitable planet" + it would be worthwile to look at the international banks financing deforestation

Carbon-based pesticides have a history of often being more toxic and persistent than laboratory tests would have suggested. Epyrifenacil is no different. It also breaks down into trifluoroacetic acid, which will make its way into our bodies and persist for centuries.
During his campaign, Trump (& RFK) promised to rein in the use of dangerous pesticides, but the EPA has loosened oversight and is accelerating pesticide approvals.
Notably, the top 4 positions in the new Trump EPA’s chemical safety office are held by former pesticide and chemical industry lobbyists

Hemp is sustainable, flexible, and easy to grow. Aside from its use in CBD gummies, vapes, and drinks, hemp can be grown for food, textiles, and construction. It's also a carbon-negative plant that needs far less water or pesticides than cotton.
Obviously it should be banned.

Regardless of what you think of non-carbon-based energy, it’s cheaper. Any real market economy would embrace that.

For 9 in 10 days so far this year, we were 100% powered for some part of the day by clean energy.
The Golden State has become the world's fourth-largest economy because of our climate leadership, not in spite of it.
