Never used it, never looked at it, never will. I turn off AI results in browsers and everything else whenever I can.
Hands up if you've never used Chat GPT ✋

(I feel like Dozer and Tank in The Matrix right now - at first I didn't use it because, rather ironically, I'm lazy and stubborn (peak Taurus energy there) - literally no, don't make me use the new thing I don't wanna. Now I'm glad I didn't 😅)
Probably a good way to tell right now if the job you’re applying for is run by absolute dumbfucks is to ask if they’re using AI.

use this one simple CSS trick to break sites only on Windows but in all browsers!
emailed the author (I hope) with a fix. It's got -5912 set for the usWinAscent value, when a more reasonable value is 650.
It seems that every OS other than windows just ignores this value when rendering fonts, so it works.

Can you not? Browsers are really complex things, can you not slap on a layer of crap you don’t understand?

Can this bubble pop already?
Unseeable prompt injections in screenshots: more vulnerabilities in Comet and other AI browsers | Brave

the investors say they can cash in on these new AI agent browsers, er, somehow

not clear how

(aside from agent browsers, apart from being an exciting new security attack surface, being broken shit that doesn't work)

you know what's not cute

web browsers, when i want to copy a google search url, just only showing the keywords in the address bar.

that's not cute

The vulnerabilities of these AI browsers are overwhelming. Exploits could feasibly access appointments, contacts, email, banking, albums, personal, and any other connected service.

Don’t open that box.

sometimes a concern about autofill comes up, like "well what if the browser autofills it". well: browsers don't (or at least, shouldn't) autofill form fields you can't see.

example: a signup form that includes hidden fields named for things like addresses, phones, etc. it'd be a big security issue.

Firefox just unflagged support for CSS @ scope 🎉

Soon available in all browsers

Responsive typography is getting so much simpler. This already works in a couple browsers, and the fallback is minimal:

--progress: progress(100vi, 320px, 1200px);
font-size: calc-mix(var(--progress), 1rem, 1.25rem);

But that will get even better…

👀 Navigation API will be available in all browsers soon 🎉

Completely redefines the APIs used to build client-side routers / SPAs

🫤 History API: popState, link click.preventDefault() ...

✅ Navigation API: clean, centralized way to intercept navigation events 👌

I've been trying out different browsers for the fun of it and seeing if there's one I like better and after years of Chrome I switched to Zen browser a few months ago and really dig the simplicity..... but now I'm like I need to try Every Single Browser. I must put them ALL to the ULTIMATE TEST.

it was a thing browsers (and some password managers) used to do years ago but I think by now they’ve all figured out that’s bad www.zdnet.com/article/new-...

Never.
Phone keeps trying to tempt me, browsers keep offering, I keep swearing at them to get away from me.
Let me use my own brain, for freaks’ sake, I happen to prefer it. 🙄
