I have to say that index funds are index funds. They maintain shares in proportion to the index or in equal shares, but reflecting the index. Vanguard can hardly divest of Amazon while still having index funds, and as any Boglehead (I'm not one) will tell you, they were built on index funds.

Any proper boglehead will naturally have a balance of domestic and international index funds. A reasonable way to calm the twitch would be to skew your balance toward the international a tad.

only after you establish index funds may you start looking into niche avenues of investment. be a boglehead. buy the market. only if you really really want to, cordon off a portion for high risk investments (holding crypto, individual stocks, high risk bonds, etc)
