I am the museum of everything I’ve loved, each memory is a gallery... My hands trace the edges of memories, sacred and scarred, while unseen threads weave through each piece, binding all that was beautiful, all that broke me, into something whole... - abridged, by Eli Silvestre, a poet worth reading

How this move will coexist with the #DigitalOmnibus remains uncertain, but the signal is clear: AI at work needs binding rules.

Yet many depts, even knowing that, are saddled with them... because of police unions (binding arbitration clauses, etc.)
Chicago paid $500,000,000 - yes, a half *billion* dollars - in settlements over a 10-year pd. Officials in San Antonio, Minneapolis & elsewhere have complained publicly of this.

Bidirectional communication between nucleotide and substrate binding sites in a type IV multidrug ABC transporter - Nature Communications
The communication hinge, found in type IV ABC transporters, forms a bidirectional communication between ATP- and substrate-binding sites. This is an unexplored allosteric pathway critical for functional coupling in multidomain ABC transporters.

That's a very interesting paper - and reinforces the point, I think! Lots of targets, complex combined effects with Sox2, and many of the effects seem to come from OCT4 binding to enhancers and altering eRNA transcription - but also from condensate formation! In other words...

Like, genuinely, how is "a physical key for digital game that can be resold/traded as account binding doesn't apply" worse than Steam's "if you die your games are forfeit if we find out someone else is accessing your account because the game licenses aren't transferrable."

Gonna do some test binding methods this winter. Need to come up with something fast and cheap enough I don't have to spend weeks hand-binding extra large comic books no one wants.

The ICJ ruled that all nations must limit emissions. Indigenous advocates are at COP30 to get world leaders to honor it calling for more climate-resilience projects and the addition of traditional ecological knowledge in climate strategy. But, the ICJ ruling is non-binding.

The Pacific won a landmark climate case at the world's top court. Now they want countries to act.
“Our goal is to remind negotiators that behind every policy decision are real people and real lives at risk.”

Could probably do big silkscreened pages and then some kind of hand sewn binding with book tape along the spine so I wouldn't have to print something huge a twice up just to fold it.

Interesting paper, although if I'm going to be nit-picky--SF3B1 does not have catalytic activity (it is a RNA binding protein/protein scaffold). In addition, potential non-splicing roles for SF3B1 have been found elsewhere, e.g.,in histone pre-mRNA maturation

RNA splicing is required for timely completion of abscission and is modulated by the abscission checkpoint
The abscission checkpoint pauses the progression of cytokinetic abscission at the intercellular bridge when various checkpoint-sustaining errors are sensed. A unique cytoplasmic organelle, the absciss...

do u mean the one witch out of 3 who got paid to do a gentle hex on charlie kirk, and truly charlie kirked his ass? because the witches who came together internationally to cast a nonviolent binding spell on trump did a pretty bad job of binding all of that

Labour and Nandy doing absolutely nothing to put in place binding rules that would ensure the preservation of an unbiased BBC and protect it from these right wing Israel supporters. If there’s any seriousness about impartiality then Gibb needs to go.

But what if it's good! :)
(Honestly, prior art in XAML and friends like 15 years ago, it wasn't perfect but attribute driven binding is a tiny thing - binding expressions, a context object, see adoption and grow over time if required!)

yeah pretty unique, eh. I don't recall ever seeing another guitar with anything similar. Although the National res-o-glass guitars did use a rubber binding to lock in the front/back of the body. But no metal there.

I've also noticed over the years that (plentiful) German theology in Dissenting libraries has German binding, but the odd German book in Anglican collections has English binding. AFAIK I'm the only person to have noticed. But I can only just wave vaguely at any evidence

There’s been some great improvements on Minimal APIs support for binding complex objects with FromForm. Any planned support for binding arrays like int[] to respect initialization defaults like an empty array instead. #dotnetconf
