BdT makes every film at least 20% better
BdT doesn't have that much screen time but he inhabits his character so fully and his character's integration with the world of the film is so clear that I feel his existence, his impact stretching beyond the boundaries of the film, which, for me, makes the film itself feel more expansive and alive.

A key part of Benecio’s whole deal is the little grace notes of delight he sprinkles into his performances. That little smile is as much BDT as it is Sensei, but it somehow works.

I haven’t even seen it and I can read the tea leaves. Sean and Leo are getting noms. BDT is winning supporting. Best adapted screenplay and best picture moms…need to see it to talk about the women noms. Cinematographer score also.

What felt PTA-ish to me was Penn getting the erection, Leo's stoned aggro phone conversations, everything BDT was doing the whole time he was on screen. The rest, while technically brilliant and beautiful, felt less stylish, except for the Christmas Adventurers which felt extremely like the Coens.
