15 Sep. Astrophytum asterias 今年7回目の開花の「兜丸」は6回目の1週間ほど後でやや小ぶりでした
気温が下がってきているので、おそらくこれが今年最後の花だと思います

濃いオレンジの中心部が透けて見えている開花途中の蕾の様子 遮光してるので全体的に暗めの色合いに見えていますが綺麗な黄色の花です 光に当たるとセロファンのような艶や光沢が見えて華やかで美しいです

This cactus flowers regularly until autumn and from a very young age. The flower changes color from yellow to salmon after some days.

雨と曇りで温度も明るさも足りずに少し開いた状態で停止の兜丸の蕾 花弁は黄色ですが全体的に低彩度に写ってしまい淡い黄色に見えます

今年7つの花を咲かせた兜丸、オレンジ色に近い鮮やかな中央部と明るいパール感が強い黄色花びらの大振りの花です 棘のないタイプのウニの上に花が乗っているように見えます（サボテンはサンゴやオニヒトデ、イソギンチャクなど海洋生物を連想させる部分があり、そこも魅力です） 兜丸の中央部分をアップで撮影しました 花は一日で終わってしまうので「明日少し曇り？咲かないで待って！明後日は快晴！」と開花直前になるといつも思っていました笑 サボテンではそんなに多くない朱赤系の鮮やかな赤花を咲かせる「緋花玉」、暗いマット質感の低彩度深緑色の体色に赤い椿のような花色は「和風」を感じさせます 安価で100円均一の店にもいたり、入手はかなり簡単な種で自家受粉もするので種から育てるチャレンジに良いと思います（種数も多いです） 強い光には弱く、晩春頃の光が強くなり陽が高くなる頃から遮光率は30％ほどはしたほうが良いです（水好きギムノは多いですが腐りやすい種なので他サボテン同様に乾いて鉢が軽くなったら2日後にたっぷり上げて、風通しのいい薄暗い場所に1日は置いてあげて欲しい種） 白に近い淡いピンクの花色の時もあれば少しだけ濃くなった紫ピンク色の花のときもある麗蛇丸が大中小と並んで咲いた時です アスパラガスのように見えるうろこ状に覆われて伸びてるのが蕾です 艶のある鮮やかな濃い緑色のボディの棘の出っ張り部分の半分下は茶系暗色で逆三角形の模様になっています（蛇の鱗のようで美しい、が命名由来な気がします） ギムノですが光に強く、夏時も20％ほどの遮光率でどんどん花を咲かせて8月末あたりまで咲きます

4枚目の兜丸（kabuto）はまだ小さいので昨年同様に蕾を自ら落とすかもしれません（もし咲いたら今回以降の蕾は落として本体の育成をします）

「獅子王丸」Parodia submammulosus 艶のある鮮やかな濃い緑色の体色 ほぼ白の硬く強い棘、ふさふさの繊維に守られて育つ蕾 黄色い花が咲きます 「麗蛇丸」Gymnocalycium damsii 冬に茶色くなってたのが緑色に戻り始めてる体色です 棘は黄色がかった明るい色で先端は少し濃い色になっています ギムノカリキウムらしい、アスパラガスに似ている鱗状の蕾を5本出しています 「（棘無し）大豪丸」Echinopsis ancistrophora 艶のないマット質感の体色、棘無し品種なので白い綿毛のような刺座 黒い毛のような繊維に守られて蕾が育っています 長く茎を伸ばして夜中に大型の真っ白の花を咲かせます 「兜丸」Astrophytum asterias マット質感の深い緑色の体色に綿毛のような刺座、ボディ全体にちらばる白い模様 模様による見た目の印象が変わる、個体差が大きな品種です 白い繊維に守られて蕾が育っています（黄色い花が咲きます）

たくさんの魅力的な個体たちがいて、どの子も可愛く格好良く素晴らしい！と連れて帰りたくなりましたが、一目ぼれした兜丸は値札もなかったですが「これ！兜丸は気に入った模様にはまず二度と出会えないから…」と初日にお迎えしました（ゼブラスーパー兜、と二代目さんの鑑定で名と価格が決定）
「恵比寿笑い」は15年は育てられてるサイズと思ったので、可愛すぎましたが夏型塊根はハナキリンしか育てたことなかったので「これは慣れた方に大事にされてほしい」と見送りました

淡くも彩度高めの大きな花が愛らしいサボテン 花の色が微妙に違ってる種類は数種ありますが、花色を気にする方は開花期にお店へ行くのが確実ですね！「雪晃」もレッドボールカクタスと呼ばれてますがオレンジ色・明るい朱赤・真っ赤といるのでお正月明け即売会～春の即売会で色確認ができると思います Astrophytum asterias　「兜丸」アローが☆に見えて「アストロフィツム・アステリアス」の名前そのままの子だわ…とお迎えしました 右の細かな星の深い緑肌の子もとても美しくて好みです Pachypodium brevicaule 実生から15～20年ほどでこのサイズになる、植え替え時期が梅雨前でやや癖あり、冬の寒さは苦手、と思うとバランスの良さ・形状の美しさでもの価格は全く安くないと私は思います が、夏型は丈夫すぎるハナキリン、冬型も丈夫すぎる亀甲竜しか育ててない私には勿体ない生き物だったので見送りました（そしてまだとても小さな株を買いました）
