With all that sunshine and excitement for solar mobility, it’s hard to imagine a better place for Aptera to shine.

They tried to fool us with the trickle-down economics line, but there really is a trickle-up program, it is called feeding the oligarchs. Our Auto/fossil fuel economy depends on it. That is why we need Aptera: https: //aptera.us/reserve?referral_code=a124877

A friend spotted an Aptera on the road today near Carlsbad California… missing a rear panel. Crazy that this thing originally debuted in like 2008 and they are still working on it…. Think it will ever go into production?

Happy Sun Day ☀️

Every day, the sun sends enough energy to power our world many times over.
At Aptera, we’re harnessing that gift to drive a future where every journey is powered by the sun.

This is only the beginning. #SunDayOfAction

Solar-powered EVs that can go months between conventional charge-ups could arrive by the end of 2026, writes Christopher Mims. Just don’t expect them from the major automakers.
Solar-Powered Cars and Trucks Are Almost Here
New, power-sipping EVs due next year are efficient enough to gain 10 to 40 miles of daily charge from the sun alone.

Seeing all sorts of posts telling folks the Aptera and Telo will be on sale next year.

They likely won't. And it's part of the FUD we have to deal with when talking to folks about taking advantage of the incentives about to expire, frustrating this stuff's being reported in this way.

15 to 40 miles.

That's the range per day from the sun alone for Aptera Motors’ solar-powered car. The $40,000 EV is poised to ship as early as next year. by @mims.bsky.social

The actual Mims article math does check out, if you believe Aptera or Telo is ever going to ship a finished car to a customer.

Jag är likadan. Är inte alls förtjust i att aptera musfällor för att slippa höra dem springa mellan våningarna på nätterna, hade de små liven låtit bli att ta sig in hade jag aldrig lyft ett finger mot dem.

EV1 mention in WTYP 154 is a matter of course, but I think I need to hear some @victoriascott.bsky.social Aptera opinions. That one's purported to be a kilomiler with current lithium (vs solid-state), hub motors on at least the front axle, and a stupid low Cd I forgot but definitely less than 0,20
