I took the pup for a walk this morning and as the time was different my local coffee and breakfast spot was open. I told her my dog was with me and she invited her in and even gave her a cup of whipped cream. Winnie's Ethiopian Coffee is a great spot.

Very interesting. Just yesterday I was thinking about what levels of "DDoSs"-like (Their associated techs like db)could support for aeronautical ADSB/ACARS/Airframe/FLARM,naval AIS,IoT APRS, and similar... I imagine someone like Kepler might not like it.

One lowly ISS APRS packet iGated for all 5 passes so far today. Using a turnstile antenna, RSPduo tuner, and Direwolf to iGate the packets.

Interestingly I used to have reasonable success with a 2/70 j-pole antenna setup and my Yaesu handheld (FT2) running APRS through the ISS gateway. I haven’t tried for a while though, perhaps I should get something sensible set up.

Personally I think the APR1400 plants look a lot better than the AP1000 plants. Would like to see many APRs built in the US.

It does make a lot of sense as the more modern digital modes we've seen over ham radio, achieve the same with less bandwidth required, more accurate transmission, and better weak signal support....

I am so pumped about an upcoming getaway because it’s a road trip and I’m looking forward to a LOT of APRS along the way.
Maybe I’ll set up a channel for the roadtrip on APRS IRC? I’ll shoot a note to BlueSky with my numbered call when we take off.
