Just recently stumbled across an anime film called A Tree of Palme and it has not left my mind since. A bit hard to follow plot-wise at times but the world and visuals are so rich. A good mix of fantasy and sci-fi as well!Also has a super appealing art style and gorgeous animation.

The anime looks gorgeous, but I'm particularly fond of Tomoko Yamashita's style, the watercolors mixed with sketchy lineart. I'd give anything to have her work in my hands.

one of my top 3 anime, I love the art style so much its so representative of the original manga (and more specifically how you dont need to be the best draftsman to tell a great visual story) and also feels like a good representation of how rough around the edges real life is

i mean, it was interesting but diverged from the manga when they caught up... so they just had to make shit up!
i do yearn for an old-school traumatic anime style version of the full story. like how they were doing the original series, but still sticking to the manga faithfully.

I tried a queer romance once and the writing style of the author really annoyed me... not to mention it was an isekai scenario and I get enough of that nonsense in anime fr. It also switches POV EVERY DANG CHAPTER and that just is not cohesive storytelling to me

While I'm not sure it's "anime" enough, it never hurts to throw in my work. I like to work in a few different styles, some more chibi, some a little more anime/comic style.
