IKR. We even have good animal welfare law in NZ. The Amimal Welfare Act 1999. It could be argued that these people are breaching it under the 5 Freedoms aspect of that law.

For unknown reasons I have the music from Amimal Crossing stuck in my head. I haven't heard it since my kids, who are all in their late 20s/early 30s now, played it when they were at school. But somehow it is rattling round my brain like the last guest at a house party who simply won't leave.
