A portrait of Khankhuuluu mongoliensis (or "Mongolian dragon prince"), a tyrannosauroid from the Bayanshiree Formation. Its remains were previously described as belonging to Alectrosaurus, but are now classified as a separate genus. Done in Paint 3D.

Decided to bite the bullet and get one more of the #beastsofthemesozoic medium-sized tyrannosaurs before they sold out. The Alectrosaurus is a great figure. I love the colors on this one: red juvenile Green Tree Python was a great choice.

🧪Species: Timurlengia euotica

This genus is similar to other Cretaceous aged tyrannosaurs from Asia such as Alectrosaurus and Xiongguanlong, and was previously assigned to the former. These medium sized basal pantyrannosaurs represent an important stage in tyrannosaurid evolution.
