Bitcoin Now Accepted By 4 Million Businesses, Thanks To Jack Dorsey
Block, Jack Dorsey's payments firm, has launched a new Bitcoin payment option for approximately four million Square merchants in the US. This feature allows businesses to accept Bitcoin directly at the point of sale. Transactions can be settled via the Lightning Network for faster confirmations. Merchants have the flexibility to receive payments in Bitcoin, fiat currency, or a combination of both. Block is offering promotional fee relief, waiving processing fees for Bitcoin payments until January 1, 2027. After this period, a fee of about 1% per transaction is anticipated. Merchants may also have the option to automatically convert a portion of their daily card sales into Bitcoin. The current rollout excludes certain regions, including New York. The success of this initiative hinges on consumer demand, merchant adoption, and the ease of the checkout experience. Block is promoting the benefits of Bitcoin payments like the absence of chargebacks and lower friction. However, technical and regulatory challenges, including AML checks and accounting for Bitcoin, remain practical considerations for merchants. If widely adopted, this move could significantly increase Bitcoin's use in everyday commerce.

But the ubiquity of the term, the uncritical way it's been accepted, means it has remained this vulnerability in the public consciousness. Come up with a new way "toxins" get into your body, hawk a new way to get "toxins" out, and you'll always make a killing before the debunkers catch up to you.

I’ll now buy her makeup. But what I find disturbing - and putting aside whatever i personally think of Netanyahu - it’s also astounding (and rings of history past) that to be accepted as a “good Jew” or “acceptable Israeli” is being an outspoken critic of Israel’s government. Why can’t we just be?

Cases like Ashot Egiazaryan buying his way into the State Duma to avoid fraud charges epitomize the depths of corruption festering within. With this kind of behavior accepted as the norm, how can everyday Russians trust their government?

It’s long been accepted in the UK that you shouldn’t operate on the genitals of DSD kids unless medically necessary. It’s as harmful as female genital mutilation or giving kids distressed about their sexed bodies puberty blockers and x sex hormones. People with PCOS are female, with PAIS male.

Really, @nytimes.com? 'Arabian' is not an accepted word on Spelling Bee? Racist much?

They probably are, although I think it has become less openly accepted or is that jus wishful thinking?

"I was accepted to study ecological sciences, but when I got here, they told me they'd stopped running the degree," he says. Fraser was transferred onto a General Biological Sciences course.
"I wanted to study ecology - I was passionate about it."

It is time that the game buying public accepted that all game development studios are headed up by a lazy man who can’t be arsed to go get his morning coffee. It is the new normal. The question is not “am I comfortable buying games by a sleepy man?”, the question is “am I, the consumer, wrong?”

Wes Streeting "insisting" he's innocent.
Trump saying he is innocent is just accepted.
BBC bias there for you all.

What is the difference between truth and 'alternative facts' (a.k.a. lies)? More importantly, how did we get to a position where the latter are so accepted? Great question asked at St George's, Windsor last night by Revd. Canon Hueston Finlay in his Elson lecture.

Furthermore, wind power production very rarely reaches 100% of its capacity. A wind turbine almost never rotates at full speed. It is generally accepted that a wind farm operates at 20% of its capacity on average.
Observations on the European electric grid confirm this value.

The AI NPC dialog, especially the traders and cutscenes voice overs are the ONLY big black mark I (and many others) have against Arc Raiders. it's the one stand-out thing that feels ugly and out of place. People have NOT accepted the use of this, they need to read the room.

Including all their corporate clients?
Im genuinly confused how throwing your customers under the bus would be good for business. I must be misunderstanding something.
