As a constituent of Acadie-Annapolis, I find this news too close for comfort.😲This hateful behaviour is not typical of what I've come to know about the strong moral compasses of the folks here. Please RCMP, prosecute fully. Hate is against the law in this country.❤️🇨🇦

As a Nova Scotian (though not in Acadie-Annapolis), I'm really happy with d'Entremont's decision. Poilievre has made it clear that he doesn't consider the Atlantic provinces to be part of his view of Canada.

I think this is a case where there's a gap between the Westminister tradition and the modern reality of how partisanship drives voting patterns and how parties control MPs. It's not great for democracy that the people of Acadie-Annapolis voted for a Conservative, not for d'Entremont, but it's true.
