All the exit signs got me thinking about The Amazing Digital Circus. I haven't seen it, but my kids are obsessed with it and I hear snippets.
From Wikipedia: The Amazing Digital Circus is an Australian adult independent animated web series created, written, and directed by Gooseworx and produced by Glitch Productions. The series follows a group of humans trapped inside a circus-themed virtual reality game, where they are overseen by an erratic artificial intelligence while coping with personal traumas and psychological tendencies. From Wikipedia: Synopsis The Amazing Digital Circus follows a cast of six humans--Pomni, Jax, Regatta, Gangle, Kinger, and Zooble--who have become trapped in the titular Circus, a cartoonish virtual reality game.
