Listening to the new recording of the complete Ysaÿe sonatas by Hillary Hahn. It’s surprisingly aggressive at times - which isn’t a bad thing. Most of the versions I’ve heard have been overly romantic, so it’s nice to see someone realize they were composed after “Le Sacre du Printemps.”
