its really no secret that im not a fan of zenos but i think most of it stems from how hes treated by players and how he seemingly isnt treated as an influence of yotsuyu or is given the same amount of disdain as doma receives (and yes there is a big WHITE elephant in the room about it)

like stormblood is kind of like. in large part reckoning with misogynistic abuse. it's not always written well (yotsuyu) but it's omnipresent thematically and zenos is a major participant in and driver of the themes. it's even in the 50-60 rdm quests a bit (arya is kidnapped bc of a plan by zenos)

i think i would go farther and say that the plot of stormblood is driven by zenos deliberately targeting yotsuyu and fordola for manipulation and abuse and this pattern of how he treats women he interacts with is continued with zero, while being notably absent w fandaniel (the main man he talks to)
