Just back from a wonderful, amazing, intense #WriteTheDocs Berlin conference, back in-person (actually, hybrid) in Europe after six virtual years.

Even better: I was one of the MC’s, which is (for me) way too much fun to be allowed.

It felt like coming home. It was coming home.

When FDA regulations change broadly, each company has to interpret what that means for them. They have to update their docs to meet the new regs and release a new version; sometimes they fall behind #writethedocs

The hardest part: convincing your stakeholders. This is when you have to use your most compelling examples. You get to be aspirational; if the CEO can be aspirational in their plans for the company, you can be aspriational about your content. You can push things out to a phase 2 #writethedocs

They were maintaining both the ForgeRock and Ping websites so their development process was used to deploy to both sites. With their tight timelines it was easier to post content to both sites without having to wrangle redirects #writethedocs

Engineering tests verify code functionality. Document tests ensure document accuracy. They don't replace the engineering tests, they complement them #writethedocs
