A redraw of a graphic novel page from Wings of Fire Book 2.

The background and first panel shows Tsunami, a blue aquatic dragon and the main character, exclaiming with relief from under the water at finally getting to her destination. She watches the tail of her mother, who has already left the water.

The second panel shows Tsunami hauling herself onto a rock side, gasping tiredly and wondering how she’ll get back to the palace later.

The third panel shows Tsunami having successfully made it onto a rocky platform, albeit exhausted and thinking to herself that she’ll “deal with that later.”

The fourth panel shows Tsunami looking up at a higher rock edge, where her mother and Shark, another aquatic dragon who travelled with them, has landed. Shark is examining the dead body of another dragon, noting that she’s been dead for at least a day now and was killed quite violently.

The fifth panel shows a closeup of the body, a red dragon with slashes in her neck and evidence of being impaled through her back, pools of blood around her chest and neck. Tsunami looks up from the distance, coming to a realization.

The last panel is a closeup of Tsunami’s concerned expression as she realizes it’s the body of Kestrel, a dragon who raised her.
