I always had a sneaking suspicion that if they couldn't censor the internet, they would kill it by rendering it unusable.
They would do so by "phasing out web2 in favor of web3": which is flooding the internet with useless, redundant tech like NFTs and genAI.

imo atproto was built on the premise of compromise. its development is centralized because they know that web2 comforts are hard to reimplement on something decentralized. Are you comfortable on a compromise like Bluesky PBC + web3 community coexisting hybrid atproto?

As someone who works in tech and works with various coding languages, databases, etc. I can confirm it is helping solve very real problems with previously used ones in web2. Even large companies like Amazon already use their own private blockchains.
