I am SO very much over winter—honestly, I'm over winter as soon as it starts. I'm not cold-blooded like some folks are, but I'm definitely not hot-blooded either. I hate summer almost as much as I hate winter.

Hello there, everyone! A belated merry Christmas and happy new year to all of you. Yep, I'm back! I had a nice and relaxing sabbatical—as I'm fondly calling my over-a-month off from work. It was wonderful to spend the time as I wanted. I spent a lot of time relaxing, recharging, and generally just enjoying the free time. I didn't even dread coming back in to work.

I'm still not entirely sure what happened, but I had awakened to adjust myself while sleeping, when something cracked, popped, tore—which I can't quite identify—occurred in my back. But hey, better late than never, am I right, or am I right? 😁 The past week was CRAZY busy, and full of self reflection with my role at work. I had the wondrous opportunity to see Twenty One Pilots in concert on Sunday night, and it was AMAZING—despite the fact that we didn't get home until almost TWO in the morning.

Happy Saturday! Yes, you read that correctly. I'm actually writing this a day early, as I'm headed to a Twenty One Pilots concert Sunday evening. Very excited for it, as it's been several years since last seeing them! I'll confess that I haven't yet listened to their latest album that was recently released, but at this point, I'm thinking that I am going to let myself be surprised by any new songs they incorporate into the show.

I'm currently on my third play-through of the game, but my first time on Switch—obviously. 😂 While I do have the game on all three consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch 2), I only paid for the game on the switch.

I'm very thankful that all of the busyness was due to things I enjoy, so I didn't particularly mind. Honestly, the weekend seems more appropriate for my weekly recap anyway, rather than posting it on Fridays.

Happy Saturday! It's strange how sometimes I can be crazy busy at work, even though my calendar is relatively sparse. A meeting will produce an impromptu discussion, which can sometimes last even longer than the meeting itself that sparked it! Such was the case on Friday—an hour-long meeting with a department spurred an even longer post discussion internally amongst ourselves after the meeting ended.

I almost completely forgot about doing this for the past week, but I didn’t! 😜 With only working two days in the office last week, being remote on my usual Wednesday, and attending a conference virtually on Thursday and Friday, it was quite easy to lose track of what day it was. I can pretty confidently say that I’m not the only one who has experienced this before.

Happy weekend, everyone! As of 6:00pm Friday evening, I am on vacation staycation for the next nine peaceful days. What do I have planned, you may ask? I have absolutely nothing planned — I am almost squealing in delight! 😁 One thing I will be doing over the weekend is watching the premiere episode of the newest season of Project Runway.

Hey everyone, happy Friday! Looks like the dreadful heat and humidity are scheduled to pay another visit to the area. Thankfully, our central AC has been working without issue since the last time the repair folks have paid a visit—about 5 times in total before it's been completely fixed. I guess the next few days will be a test of sorts to see if things truly are in working order, so fingers crossed!

Hey everyone, it's time for the weekend once again. I'm particularly looking forward to it for a couple of reasons—I'm still recovering from being sick with a lingering cough that doesn't want to let go, and I'll have some uninterrupted time to play more of Donkey Kong Bananza on my Switch 2. I've only played about an hour's worth so far, and it's quite enjoyable.
