Naja, das bedeutet, daß wir der Spielball im Game der Virusevolution gg die kollektive Immunsituation sind, solange wir unser Verhalten nicht durchgreifend ändern.

Und die nächste Virusvariante wird sicher irgendwann kommen. Ggw profitieren wir von einem schwachen Virus. Das muß nicht so bleiben.

Nach relativ langer Zeit ohne viel Aktivität wäre dies erneut eine Sommerwelle. Eine vorhersagbare Dynamik, weder in Bezug auf Saisonalität noch in Bezug auf Virusevolution findet sich auch im 6. Jahr von SARS-CoV-2 noch nicht. Für die Mehrheit der Bevölkerung wird auch diese Variante (wahrscheinlich) keine schwere akute Erkrankung hervorrufen, dennoch gibt es weiterhin auch Risikogruppen. Was immer richtig und sinnvoll ist: Bei akuter Atemwegsinfektion zuhause bleiben. Wenn das nicht geht: Maske tragen (um seine infektiösen Viren nicht überall zu verteilen). Wer keine Lust auf Infekt im Hochsommer hat, kann sich mit einer FFP2 in Menschenansammlungen schützen (Zug, Bus etc). Und: Akute Atemwegsinfekte kosten die Volkswirtschaft sehr viel Geld durch Arbeitsausfall und Komplikation. Wir sollten viel mehr über Prävention sprechen und wie sehr das der Wirtschaft, dem Gesundheitswesen und dem Individuum nützen würde!"

Da die Virusevolution so schnell ist, vertraue ich nicht wirklich auf 12 Monate Impfschutz.

Aber gegen alle Varianten (und andere Viren und Bakterien) helfen Masken und grundsätzliche Hygiene wie zB Händewaschen, in Ellenbeuge niesen etc.
