Gaming Alexandria is a huge deal in game culture preservation. Incredible organization. Probably the single most important group this side of the VGHF

I reference their work constantly for @hyruleinterviews.bsky.social!
Hard to believe it's already been ten years that Gaming Alexandria has been around. Here's a (late) article about our history, as well as special thanks and small blurbs from others of what Gaming Alexandria has meant to them. Here's to another ten years! www.gamingalexandria.com/wp/2025/11/g...

Who's on the cover of this 1992 Electronics Boutique game catalog scanned by VGHF? Why, it's EB mascot Elbo the dog. Hi, Elbo! https://archive.gamehistory.org/item/3e598ac1-b4bc-4f66-a8ba-6463d78782c1

Found in the VGHF GamePro press CD collection, CD 150. File titled "アメコミ風イラスト", which seems to imply it's in the style of an American comic book.

Being able to see all the Quest 64 press and packaging materials in full source quality is super rad. Thanks, VGHF!

I made a stupid short-form video for VGHF tomorrow and if it doesn't blow up I will be disappointed

This 1993 U.S. print ad scanned by the VGHF showcases the Super Bomberman Party Pak, including the game and the four-player adaptor for the SNES. (So much fun!)

I don't know anything about them, try the VGHF. I assume Lynne Griffes created Griffes Advertising that Nintendo Power used starting with vol 3.

Really exciting months coming up ahead at VGHF as we close out the year. I keep saying that, but it keeps being true!

Another super-rare VGHF scan, Christian Comics & Games was a short-lived 1995 periodical reviewing Christian games like the superhero-starring Captain Bible. Yes, really: https://archive.gamehistory.org/item/642ea239-64b2-49aa-b5e6-ee0c5eea924a

VGHF did not do the museum at PRGE this year... but it uses resources (in this case, a magazine) that we digitized, cataloged, and made accessible

This feels like a realization of our goal! We provided the resources to make game history better
When you get a chance to put Retsuprae in a museum exhibit, you put Retsuprae in a museum exhibit.

Thanks for signing our Dark Seed all those years ago, @slowbeef.bsky.social!

This dual-game VGHF-scanned Konami ad from 1990 reminds us that, yes, Snake's Revenge had a character called Higharolla Kockamamie in it. (This horrible Ayatollah Khomeini riff is apparently not Hideo Kojima's fault, folks.)

Ah yes, finish shooting all the terrorists after your homework's done, won't you? (This is a very weirdly pitched VGHF-scanned ad for Rescue: The Embassy Mission, aka Hostages.)
