Is there any project to document what CNP & ICE are doing? We'll need it for a VCF & Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
ICE & CBP agents may not be reachable by criminal justice or lawsuits, but a TRC brings some accountability. It would provide records of offenders for screening law enforcement.

Just finished recording the narration track for the VCF Midwest video. It's a long one. In the next couple of evenings there'll be some quality time spent in Pro Tools.

anyway lunch was me kicking back and watching LGR's VCF Midwest summary, with some nice throw together leftovers: cream of mushroom soup, green beans, Lima beans, all mixed in with instant chicken ramen and a few shakes of Parmesan.
Good for what ails ya, if you don't count sore legs as an ailment.

As much as I’ve loved having the XPS 730 under the new retro table, I should probably have something more in the realm of boring, but practical. So the Shuttle XPC comes out to play.

The idea behind SAFE-LD is simple: perform a large number of GWAS on randomly generated traits and use the correlation between the effect sizes to compute the correlation between the SNPs. After production the betas are rescaled between 0 and 2 to simulate imputed dosages and saved in a new VCF.

Does anyone remember a post from Adam Philippy (who for some reason I can't find with search) about the tools developed in HPRC? Am interested in latest tools/approaches for going from 2 human assemblies +reference to a VCF (am aware of pangenome approaches, that's a separate thread)

Called it a day at the VCF Swap Meet - I’d call it a big success! Sold all but two small items and picked up few things (more on that later). Turnout was good. Prices ranged as usual but there were some deals to be had.
