#VASSAL
Also while I'm here I'm also convinced something fishy is going on between Shohei and his interpreter. If Shohei is a lord then the interpreter was the vassal who was expected to fall on the sword.

Anti-corruption work is essential, and nobody should be above it.

Let’s hope NABU isn’t under external pressure to act right now, especially with Russia and what is essentially its vassal, the US, trying to push Ukraine into a deal

There are pros and cons to Yermak being out, and if he’s done anything illegal it needs to be investigated, but this will still weaken Zelensky just as Russia and what’s essentially its vassal, the US, are pressuring Ukraine hard.

Better timing than a week ago, but still tough

A lot of this is weakness disguised as strength. Russia is a lot closer to a demographic and financial collapse than Ukraine is to losing more territory. And when that Russian collapse occurs, look for several Russian territories to split off as Russia becomes essentially a Chinese vassal state.

Because we are a vassal state, it's what our leaders want.

Americans, what have you gained for this? Was this well negotiated? Has Trump bettered your lives? Do you pay less tax? What material benefit have you received from becoming a Russian vassal state? What have you gained? What have you gained?

So we're just another vassal state? FFS.

nb. Despite the assumptions of our intellectually stunted Tory leader, the geopolitics of 1stC CE Palestine were sufficiently complex that Judea was a stable, recognised vassal state within a multinational, bureaucratic empire.

Christianity would have died without a strong state to incubate it.

chat, does fighting thr Ottomans for five hours to trade a loyal ally for a disloyal vassal really count as a win?

You can have/be a loyal warhound vassal without being enemies first you just need to seek the arrangement really
November 28, 2025 at 11:20 AM
One can only hope, but in my view Russia is going to be a Chinese vassal state, and you know who would love 180b legal dispute as a stick?

Fauline and Excel are lovers and Fauline had a bunch of kids. Fauline's one singular vassal hated this and deposed her while she was at a feast so she wandered into Excelsius's countryside and is an adventurer. But she gave the babies to him and they're in his court rn. They're all ages 0-4

Russia's war on Ukraine is weakening Russia. China is very happy about this. They can export everything to Russia and military gear to Russia's former customers. Russia is getting weaker and China stronger. Russia's long term fate is to be a vassal state of China.
November 28, 2025 at 9:05 AM
Russia has many other exports that are not going to freeze, and lots of companies want to resume trading with Russia.

Their strategic issues are demographics, debt and becoming a vassal state to China, who will take back Outer Manchuria, one way or another.

19/ "Then Washington will be able to literally "twist Russia under the rug," reducing it to the same kind of "semi-powerless vassal" that the so-called "Ukraine" currently is.

Horrifying to watch my country refuse call its vassal state to heel as it mauls men, women and children with nakedly genocidal intent.

I have my doubts. China has a long tradition of turning other states into vassal states. This practice dates back more than 2,000 years.

I'm pretty sure their ambition on the long run is not to gain territory, but to turn Russia into a vassal state centrally directed by Beijing.
November 28, 2025 at 7:38 AM
it's not until i were to say "and also a vassal state of the US" that i'd risk actual deportation lmao
November 28, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Scary how simpleminded people are on here. “Russia bad. Ukraine good”, no grey areas.
As if in a child’s fantasy where CIA election meddling, vassal states, sanctions, US arms shipments & US/NATO military bases surrounding multiple foreign countries weren’t factual and oft repeated tactics

Don't beat yourself up to hard. I voted for him too. And I'm an anarchist.

I let myself believe he was serious about being an energy super-power - fusion research investment, massive wind and sun farms.

Instead, were becoming a vassal resource state.

The point is, you're calling bullshit

Kyrgyzstan, officially the Kyrgyz Republic, proved once again that it is not a sovereign state, but rather a vassal of Moscow. The country concealed the Ukrainian embassy behind massive scaffolding so as to avoid confronting the visiting Russians with the reality of an existing, sovereign Ukraine.
In Kyrgyzstan, ahead of Putin's visit, the Ukrainian embassy with its flag was hidden behind an LED screen.
