Hey Australian news organisations!!

Stop saying the BOM #UXFail web upgrade is $4m.

It’s closer to Twenty times that.

An eye watering $86M.

And all the problems are because the huge consultancies are best at making money and not well designed services.
Even I know that the professionals

another awful design on #ios26. no, the partially visible panes under the main tab in the center aren’t accessible or scrollable. they’re just static images. i don’t even understand what message this design conveys. i can’t believe apple made this. #uxfail #ui #ux

a red checkmark is the first weird thing on #ios26 . it’s like a graphical oxymoron. the checkmark implies that it’s a confirmation aka “proceed”, but the color red says “danger”. creating a calendar event isn’t a dangerous operation. #ui #ux #uxfail

For the love of god, #Bluesky, implement a “last-read post” bookmark for people’s feeds. Please. Twitter remembers where you last stopped reading, Mastodon does, but you refresh to the top of the feed every time, so I always miss *tons* of posts. This is some serious #uxfail here.

what a lousy reason to notify the user. "did you know that you could configure things?" i see this every time i wake the computer. this is how you make users turn off notifications for your app. another bad design decision. #uxfail #ux

As the year comes to a close, it's good to remember what the industry standards were a decade ago to understand how far we've come. Check out this syringe pump interface.

Why, Twitter, do you then focus on the part of the photo that's not the pun. #UXfail

If I click on a link to your site to read an article, I'm there to READ AN ARTICLE, not watch your video. At the very least, you should be starting that crap MUTED. But you don't, because you sort of hate your users. #UXFail

#uxfail of the day - little things that get designers very upset.

@gravatar apparently thinks adding a secondary email is such an undesired action, they:

1) bury the feature deep and in a place you wouldn’t think to look for it;

2) make the CTA *a link* which is *barely visible* and *looks […]

Really bad systems coordination by @GWRHelp today - app crashes, e-ticket eventually bought, won't scan at Cardiff and Paddington Gates don't even have the reader. New seat reservation system in place...but showing previous journey with paper tickets for this journey. #uxfail

every friction on a web site, every popup asking to install their app, every prompt asking for login, makes me more inclined just to share a screenshot instead, simply because i care about my friend’s experience. smooth ux is critical for more traffic in the long term. #uxfail

This is what you design for your UI when you are blinded by #greed. It is psychopathy in a screenshot. This warning pops up if you attempt to use the new #Kling 2.5, but while the button on the right does exactly as you'd expect, the button on the left just reloads the popup. Forever. #UXFail
